A community for LEGO® fans
We are a community of Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOLs) from the Greater Region. What connects us is the passion for building, collecting, exhibiting and sharing.
AFOL.lu is more than a forum. We bring together LEGO® fans from across the Greater Region – Luxembourg, Lorraine, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and the Belgian Province of Luxembourg.
With us you can showcase your projects, join community builds, discuss techniques, sets and collections with other fans, and join us at exhibitions across the region.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced builder – if LEGO® is your hobby, you’ve come to the right place.

CommunicationA dedicated platform, built for us
We often hear the question: “Why don’t you just create a Facebook group?” The answer matters to us – and to our members.
- Ads & algorithms decide what you see – not you.
- Your data is the actual product.
- No real archive: posts disappear in the stream, older discussions are nearly impossible to find again.
- No structure: galleries, building instructions and discussions all mix in a single feed.
- Forced account at a corporation many users don’t want to trust.
- Images are compressed – details of your MOCs get lost.
- No filebase for instructions or LDraw models.
- Ad-free: no trackers, no sponsored posts, no distractions.
- You belong to yourself: your data is only used for the community.
- Real archive: posts remain findable – even years later.
- Clear structure: blog, gallery, forum, filebase and articles are cleanly separated.
- Independent: run by the community, for the community.
- High-resolution images – every detail stays visible.
- Real file management with versioning and comments.

FAQ
How much does membership cost?
Online community membership is free. You can register at no cost and use all sections of the platform – blog, gallery, forum, filebase, articles, messenger and shoutbox.
Optionally, you can also become a member of AFOL.lu A.s.b.l. (with a membership fee). This gives you a voice in the association and access to benefits such as LUGBULK.
Do I have to be from Luxembourg?
No! Our community welcomes LEGO® fans from across the Greater Region: Luxembourg, Lorraine (F), Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland (D) as well as the Province of Luxembourg (B). Anyone who feels at home with us is welcome.
What language does the community use?
The platform is multilingual: German, French, Luxembourgish and English. Posts can be written in any of these languages – the community is used to reading and writing across languages.
Do I have to be a “pro builder”?
Absolutely not. Everyone is welcome – from the returner picking up LEGO® again after years, to the collector who specialises in certain themes, to the experienced MOC builder. What counts is enthusiasm.
Is AFOL.lu official from the LEGO Group?
No. AFOL.lu is an independent fan community and is neither sponsored, authorised nor endorsed by the LEGO Group. We are however recognised as an RLUG (Recognized LEGO® User Group) – a recognition the LEGO® Ambassador Network gives to engaged fan communities.
How is my data protected?
We run the platform ourselves and use no external trackers or ad networks. Your data is used exclusively to operate the community and is not shared with third parties. Details can be found in our privacy policy.
Can I just “read along” without being active?
Of course. Many members are primarily readers and only participate actively now and then. That said, we’d love it if you eventually took the step and shared your own projects.
